Vintage Selmer Series 9* Bb Boehm Clarinet

Here's a very clean 1963 'Series 9* ' model Bb Boehm system clarinet by Selmer of Paris. The instrument is made of grenadilla wood with nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, and a medium bore of .575". All pieces are original, no cracks or repairs, just a little plating wear on a couple of keys. According to Google, "the Series 9* version has a narrower, poly-cylindrical bore and was built to compete with the Buffet R13, offering more resistance and targeted toward classical and chamber players."
Its been disassembled, soaked in oil, the mechanism swedged and countersunk, body, keys, rings, and posts buffed, new white Roo leather pads and key/tenon corks installed. Its in great, lightly used condition for its years and plays with a focused, resonant sound and good intonation! Comes with original case in solid condition.

All shipping is by Fedex or USPS priority with tracking (depending on the weight of the item). I can generally ship a clarinet and case for $20-30 - I try not to pad shipping. Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis. Returns will be accepted within 5 days and I will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange. Please enquire terms of return before purchase!
