Antique Henri Selmer Bb Boehm Clarinet

Here's a rare c.1920's (or earlier!) vintage Bb Boehm system clarinet by Henri Selmer of Paris: it has a 3 digit serial number with no letter prefix, and is the oldest Selmer I've ever worked on! It is made of fine grained grenadilla wood with silver-plated key-work, posts and rings, with a bore of .575". It is in great, lightly used condition, with a couple of small sealed hairlines under the center tenon ring of the lower body, and a little chipping around the edge of the bell . It has been disassembled, soaked in oil, swedged and countersunk, body, keys and posts polished or buffed, new white Roo leather pads and corks installed. Big, focused tone with good ergos and intonation - this thing is a canon! It played a little flat of 440 for me, but I'm no clarinetist, and I think it just needs a better barrel. Overall, I am really pleased with this instrument! Comes with vintage (probably original) case in worn but solid condition.

Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis. Returns will be accepted within 5 days and I will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange.
