Vintage Conn Pan American 68N Bb Boehm Clarinet
$625
Here's a beautiful early 1950's vintage Bb Boehm system "68N Pan American" model clarinet by Conn of USA. These are commonly known as "Violin Finish" or "Propeller Wood" clarinets, but are in fact made of laminated cocobolo wood with hard rubber tonehole inserts, nickel plated alloy keys and an extra large bore of .600"! These are wonderful budget jazz horns, as they have a big sound and are eye catching on stage. It is in great condition, with sharp tenons and chimneys, no cracks or crack repairs. It has been disassembled, soaked in oil, swedged and countersunk, body, keys and posts buffed, new Pisoni leather pads and corks installed. Big, broad tone, good intonation with comfortable key-work. I am really pleased with this instrument! Comes with original case and mouthpiece in good condition.
