Vintage Dolnet Paris Bel-Air Bb Tenor Saxophone

A rare late 1950's vintage 'BelAir' model Bb tenor saxophone made by Dolnet of Paris. These are wonderful, hand-made instruments - worthy competitors to Selmer, Martin, Conn or Buescher - just not as well known in the US. They have developed a growing following due to their quality and low price in comparison to better known vintage saxes. It is lacquered brass and is in great condition for its age, with evidence of a couple small dings on the neck and bell, a slightly depressed post, and a little bit of missing high F guard - nothing that materially impacts looks or playability.
Its been disassembled, cleaned, swedged and countersunk (to tighten the mechanism) posts aligned, tone holes leveled, rods trued, all new tan leather pads (with flat brass star resos) and key corks installed, reassembled and adjusted for optimal play-ability. Warm, spread 'vintage American' tone, good intonation, comfortable key work: I'm very pleased with the condition and play-ability of this saxophone! Comes with period (possibly original) case in great condition with eccentric fabric :-)

All shipping is by Fedex or USPS priority with tracking (depending on the weight of the item). I can generally ship a clarinet and case for $14-25 - I try not to pad shipping. Most returns accepted within 5 days and will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange. Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis.
