Vintage Henri Gunckel C LP Albert System Clarinet

Here's a very clean early 1920's Albert system clarinet in C LP, marked "Henri Gunckel France", which was a stencil name for instruments by a few different makers (including Buffet!) that were imported to the US. The instrument is made of grenadilla wood with nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, and a bore of .560". All pieces are in good shape, with no significant repairs. This would be a great horn for playing vocal lines, Church music from the hymnal, Greek folk or Klezmer!
It was just overhauled: disassembled, oiled, the mechanism swedged and countersunk, body, keys, rings, and posts buffed, white leather pads and corks installed. This rare clarinet is in good shape for its years and plays with a sweet, focused tone and good intonation. it came to me from an Antiques dealer in Kansas in what appears to be a converted 19th century cash box, and I'm including it in the sale!

All shipping is by Fedex or USPS priority with tracking (depending on the weight of the item). I can generally ship a clarinet and case for $20-30 - I try not to pad shipping. Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis. Returns will be accepted within 5 days and I will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange.
