Vintage Holton 242 Pro Tenor Sax

A rare circa 1958 vintage 'Model 242' tenor saxophone made by Holton of USA. It is lacquered brass and is in great condition for its age, with no significant dents or dent repairs - nothing that materially impacts looks or playability. Lacquer is about 95% and the engraving is still sharp.
Its been disassembled, cleaned, swedged and countersunk (to tighten the mechanism) posts aligned, tone holes leveled, rods trued, all tan leather pads (with flat metal resos) installed, and key corks replaced, reassembled and adjusted for optimal play-ability. This big bore horn is a great player, with a full, dark tone (reminiscent of a Conn 10m), good intonation, and comfortable key work: it would be a good horn for Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues... I'm very pleased with the condition and play-ability of this saxophone and it comes with a vintage case (probably original) in clean, solid condition.
