Vintage Holton Bb LP Tenor Saxophone

A rare c. 1925 vintage Bb LP tenor saxophone made by Holton of the USA. It is lacquered brass and is in great condition for its age, with no significant dents or repairs - just a couple small dings and a dent repair on the bell lip - nothing that materially impacts looks or playability. Lacquer is about 95%, with soldered straight tone holes.
Its been disassembled, cleaned, swedged and countersunk (to tighten the mechanism) posts aligned, tone holes leveled, rods trued, all tan leather pads (with brown plastic resos) installed, and key corks/felts replaced, some springs replaced, reassembled and adjusted for optimal play-ability. The horn is a good player, with a broad, dark tone reminiscent of a Conn 10M, good intonation, and comfortable key work: would be good for Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues... I'm very pleased with the condition and play-ability of this saxophone! Comes with original case in well used but solid condition. Case has been cleaned and deodorized, but might still be a little musty for some - let me know if you want it or not!
