Vintage J. Gras Paris Bb Boehm Clarinet #2

Here's a rare c.1930 vintage Bb Boehm system clarinet by J. Gras of Paris. J Gras was established in 1868 and continued in business until the 1920s. They were woodwind and brasswind makers and dealers with factories at Lille and Paris and dealer operations in Lille, Paris and Brussels. This is made of fine grained grenadilla wood and nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, with a bore of .580". All pieces are original, with a few small repairs: fine sealed hairlines in barrel and bell, one re-soldered key and a patch in the bell tenon. I'm happy with the way the latter came out! Its been disassembled, soaked in oil, swedged and countersunk, body, keys and posts buffed, new Pisoni leather pads and corks installed. This well made clarinet is in good shape for its age and has a warm, open tone with good intonation and comfortable ergonomics. Comes with modern case in solid condition.

All shipping is by Fedex or USPS priority with tracking (depending on the weight of the item). I can generally ship a clarinet and case for $16-30 - I try not to pad shipping. Most returns accepted within 5 days and will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange. Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis.
