Vintage Lafayette C LP Albert System Clarinet

Here's a very clean early 1900's simple Albert system clarinet in C LP, marked "Lafayette France", which was a subsidiary of Couesnon. The instrument is made of grenadilla wood with nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, and a bore of .562". All pieces are in good shape, with no significant repairs, just a small sealed hairline in the barrel. This would be a great horn for playing vocal lines, Church music from the hymnal, Greek folk or Klezmer!
It was just overhauled: disassembled, oiled, the mechanism swedged and countersunk, body, keys, rings, and posts buffed, white leather pads and corks installed. This rare clarinet is in good shape for its years and plays with a sweet, focused tone and good intonation. Comes with a more modern case in clean, solid condition.

All shipping is by Fedex or USPS priority with tracking (depending on the weight of the item). I can generally ship a clarinet and case for $20-30 - I try not to pad shipping. Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis. Returns will be accepted within 5 days and I will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange. Please enquire terms of return before purchase!
