Vintage M. Lacroix Paris Bb Boehm Clarinet

Here's a beautiful example of a c.1925 Bb Boehm system clarinet marked M. Lacroix of Paris. I haven't been able to determine if Lacroix was a small maker or a stencil name (like Guy Humphrey) for instruments by various makers being exported to the US, but I've worked on a number over the last 20 years, and they've all been uniformly well made horns. This one is made of grenadilla wood and nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, with a bore of .575". It shows very little use and all pieces are original, no serious cracks or repairs to body.
Its been disassembled, soaked in oil, the mechanism swedged and countersunk, body, keys, rings, and posts buffed, new white Roo leather pads and corks installed. This clarinet is in great shape for its years and plays with a warm, focused tone and good intonation. Comes with modern Protec case in clean, solid condition!

All shipping is by Fedex or USPS priority with tracking (depending on the weight of the item). I can generally ship a clarinet and case for $20-30 - I try not to pad shipping. Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis. Returns will be accepted within 5 days and I will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange. Please enquire terms of return before purchase!
