Vintage Robert Malerne Pro Bb Boehm Clarinet

Here's a rare c. 1930's vintage Pro model Bb Boehm system clarinet by noteworthy maker Robert Malerne of Paris. I'm dating it by early logo, lack of model and lack of serial number. Malerne made good to excellent instruments for over half a century (many as stencils for other companies) and this is definitely one of the best! The body is glossy grenadilla wood with silver-plated keys, posts and rings and a bore of .575" It is in great condition, with sharp tenons and chimneys, small hairline under lower stack ring. It has been disassembled, soaked in oil, swedged and countersunk, body and posts buffed, keys tarnish dipped and hand polished, new white, Roo leather pads and corks installed. Warm, focused tone, good intonation with comfortable key-work. I am really pleased with this instrument! Comes with modern case in great condition.
