Vintage SML Strasser Bb Boehm Clarinet

Here's a lovely early 1942 'Strasser' model Bb Boehm system clarinet by Strasser, Marigaux & Lemaire of Paris. The instrument is made of fine grained grenadilla wood with nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, and a large bore of .590". Better known for their great saxophones, SML also made some really nice clarinets! All pieces are original, no cracks or repairs. Its hard to believe that the company was making instruments of such quality in the depths of WWII...
Its been disassembled, soaked in oil, the mechanism swedged and countersunk, body, keys, rings, and posts buffed, new white Roo leather pads and key/tenon corks installed. Its in great, lightly used condition for its years and plays with an open, resonant sound and good intonation! Comes with the very cool navy blue faux alligator original case in solid condition.

Shipping and Returns
All shipping is by Fedex or USPS priority with tracking (depending on the weight of the item). I can generally ship a clarinet and case for $20-30 - I try not to pad shipping. Antique/vintage instrument refunds issued on a case by case basis. Returns will be accepted within 5 days and I will issue refund (minus 10% for restock and cleaning), store credit or an exchange. Please enquire terms of return before purchase!
