Vintage Pierret Super Artiste Eb Alto Saxophone

A rare early 1950's vintage 'Super Artiste' model pro alto saxophone, made by Pierret of France. It is lacquered brass with lovely engraving and is in good condition for its age, with no significant dents or dent repairs - nothing that materially impacts looks or playability. Lacquer is faded and oxidized from use and when you play it you'll know why! The horn sports some nice features, like the alt RH G#, Alt Eb trill, nailfile G# key (reminiscent of older Conns), and microtuner neck!
Its been disassembled, cleaned, swedged and countersunk (to tighten the mechanism) posts aligned, tone holes leveled, rods trued, all tan leather pads (with brown plastic resos) installed, key corks replaced, reassembled and adjusted for optimal play-ability. The horn is a really good player, with a full, warm tone, very good intonation, and comfortable key work: it would be a good horn for Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues... I'm very pleased with the condition and play-ability of this saxophone and hope I find another! Comes with original neck, neck plug and case in clean, solid condition.
